I currently live in Cardiff as a Licensed House Manager and wish to move back to the Oxfordshire area to open a hotel/bar/restaurant with my partner. We seem to be finding it hard to find funding to start the business. I have tried the bank/finance company - they will loan us money but we do not have enough capital to put upfront - by the end of the year we could raise approx 50k but we need at least another 50k or so, before we can get a loan on the value of the building. Do you have any contacts I could speak to, to help us get started? The link to the Princes trust was not working.

It is hard to give an opinion without seeing a business plan in advance, but perhaps you could speak to a business adviser in your area, you can access free advice and details of an adviser when you register on the shell-livewire.org site.
