Quite a long shot here - but is anyone in the know about Vinyl pressing? Ie the costs etc... also where's the best place to get it done?
Cheers
Kris

Hi Kris,
I looked in to this about 4 years ago.
Prices are very much dependent on what you require, ie. 7" or 12", 80 or 120 quality, black, red, pink... vinyl, 1,2 or 3 colour label, type of sleeve etc... the list goes on.
You will have to pay for the master (metal) press which is then used to press all of the additional records. The master is usually £200-300 and comes with 10 test presses. You will have to pay around £1.50 per additional vinyl (including labels & covers).
As I say, this was about 4 years ago so prices may have changed since.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, been looking into it. With todays prices, basically I can get 100 copies plus 10 test pressings - with covers and sleeves for £500 quid.

Just been on the first one (Independat) - quite impressed. Will try the others. Much appreciated :)
