Got to agree with this as being the growth area for any roofing company.

A year ago i was looking at having a solar panels put on my roof and looked in to costings etc.

It was quite frustrating as many companies were selling this as a "specialist" service but its a straight forward process.
There was hardly any local roofing companies that could offer this service as it appears to fall in a gap between electrical and roofing for some odd reason.

From the tone of your question..it seems that you're not talking about a specialist roofing company, assuming it does what it says on the tin, it would be just that, a specialist roofing company... to add other services would take it into a new bracket of construction services.

there may be various jobs which are available, you just need to choose which you want .

It may also be worth while looking into Velux window installation.
It would be a good little money earner on the side while you are on the roofing jobs.

Also, look at roof tile painting. Often customers look at their roof and fancy a change.

What about insulation services? It is something that not many roofers do, but it is a big market as some people would go out of their way to pay extra for eco- friendly roof insulation. Also with all the campaigns talking about how much money you loose out of your roof due to poor/ no insulation, it is a good selling point.
