Creative Writing Competition
Calling all budding writers! Secondary school and college students from across Britain are being invited by the University of Buckingham in a writing competition launched by Business Enterprise students Romel and Howe, as part of Buckingham Enterprise Day on 19th November 2008 to celebrate Enterprise Week.

We are asking this group of people to look 50 years into the future and imagine living in a “world without hunger”, explaining how hunger will be eradicated by 2058 using innovative solutions entrepreneurially.

Once submitted, a panel of judges will decide the winners and will be awarded on 19th November 2008. The winning essay will receive a prize from Airkix.com to experience an indoor skydiving and one hour introductory course in scuba diving for two from Stowe Sub Aqua Club. The essay must be original and unaided and should be written in English. All entries (no more than 1500 words) must be submitted to romel.pacson@buckingham.ac.uk. The closing date is Wednesday, 17th November 2008.

Romel and Howe say, “With this competition we hope to inspire and motivate young people to think about the serious issues affecting our world today. We want to encourage young people with vision and imagination to communicate their feelings on these issues and hear their suggestions on how they might be dealt with. We are looking forward to reading some exciting ideas and opinions from students all over Britain.”
