I'm looking to purchase wholesale quantities of merchandise with my own branding, for instance, cushions and duvets, shoe laces and fridge magnets.

Can someone give me the first leg up as to how I go about getting the merchandise made?

Thanks

Thanks.

These all seem to be just promotional items and the price probaby reflects this i.e. Will provide you with pens/magnets/condoms with your logo on, the idea being that they are they to be given away for promotions and so do not come with packaging, or individual items are packaged e.g. the condoms are packaged individually rather than in packs of three/6/12 etc.

I would be looking to sell via my online shop various items with particular designs on and some of these will need to be packaged in groups e.g. i would be able to sell packets of pens with a particular design, but not individual pens.

I think you'd be better purchasing the promotional items, getting the discount for buying bulk packed quantities and then commissioning a printer to do packaging for you.

I imagine getting stuff made in a single process is more expensive.

you mean merchandise not promotional material i see..
try http://www.cafepress.com
not that professional for YOUR business but on a smaller scale it is far cheaper than getting your own gear printed!
