Hi, like many other people it seems from looking on here, I am a guy full of ideas but without anyone bold enough (or maybe crazy enough) to go ahead with me and support carrying them out.

One idea I had started off as a final year university engineering project which myself and a team of others completed. It was to work on ways of mixing technology with fashion. We made a range of accessories including some innovative handbags.

Our work was very successful. We were supported by Georgina Von Etzdorf http://www.gve.co.uk and Anya Hindmarch http://www.anyahindmarch.com (who made the bag for us). Any of you that know a bit about the fashion industry will have heard of these companies. Our work was displayed at London Fashion Week, on TV, on a number of radio stations, in newspapers, magazines and on the internet.

Our items were also taken to buyers at Harrods, Liberty and Harvey Nichols who were all very interested.

The problem is, of the people in the group (8 in total including myself), 6 were not interested in carrying it on as they wanted to return to their home countries and pursue different carriers, 1 is very unsure as he has already got a good career that he can step into and I am left by myself to take this on.

I am looking to see if there is anyone out there who would be interested in helping start this up into a business. We aren't looking at a small time thing either, not selling a few things made at home at a car boot sale. We are looking to sell globally with a wide product range to a large market.

I ideally need people who have some proficiency in a related field with one or more of the following skills:

Fashion Design
Electronics
Materials
Sales
Marketing
People Management

Also the person will need a good level of initiative and innovative ability. I need someone who can think on their feet and doesn't need spoon feeding. I am currently in the south of the UK, sometimes in Bournemouth, sometimes in Southampton. I would also like to start it here as it is in proximity to various required specialist companies who I am already in contact with.

I have noticed that there are some other people on here that are looking at starting fashion businesses or have already started one. It might be possible to collaborate with these people. So if you don't contact me then I will be contacting you!

So if you have got this far through this post and you think this might be up your alley then contact me via my e-mail djg199@hotmail.com and we can talk further about it.

Thanks,

Daniel.

This looks like a project that has high growth potential and will in time seek private equity finance. You may like to also post it at our Management Team (http://www.innovateurs.com) forum at Innovateur.

Just an update. The guy that was very unsure about joining in this venture contacted me to say that he does not want to go in for it as he is joining his uncle is his electricians business.
