Taxi Rank

Does anyone know anything about setting up, working in, or running a taxi rank? I was wondering about how such a business would cover it's overheads for most of the week, if the peak periods are at the weekends.

How do you mean when you say a 'taxi rank'? I don't know about your area, but all of the taxi ranks in my area are run by the local council. The taxis that use the rank are hackney as opposed to private hire (where you call and book a cab) Hackney cabs get there licence from the local coumcil again and this allows them to use the taxi ranks.
