What has been your proudest moment in business ?
Winning a contract ?
Starting up on your own ?
Or maybe something else....

I think it was being featured in the Hull Daily Mail - that was cool.

Right now I'm contemplating whether I want to quit college - I don't think it agrees with me.

Chris don't quit college...how long do you have left? Keep it going and work on the side as it'll be worth it in the end.

I think my proudest moment was getting my very first pay check!

About...another two years. I'm pretty annoyed and bored with it already.

Your first pay check - do you mean in a job or with your business?

Getting my first client was worth a glass or two of Champagne!

Getting my first major client The National Science Learning Centre!!

Plus winning a merit award 250....*blush* I know it's not much but it made me feel proud that others recognised the potential in my business plan.

For us I think it was gaining the 2 biggest clients in my county, over 4 other agencies who have 10+ employees, went for it, funny thing is they approaced us, and after the meetings didn't bother with the rest, one of the clients was the inventor of a product which we have just completed the branding for, that was given praise by Sir Alan Sugar on the apprentice in one of the programs.

Considering I started over 3 years ago as a naive 19 year old.

Brett White

PS. I hope this doesn't come across as arrogent by the way, really is because we have put in so much effort for this lol

I think I've had more than one proudest moment:

1) setting up a business all alone...
2) taking to a stage infront of the likes of John Caudwell and making a speech with a broken microphone...(and then getting told after that my speech was inspiring and attention grabbing)
3) getting featured on bbc tv...
4) having mum say shes proud of me
5) having the local Young Enterprise people say their proud to have me on their files as a local entrepreneur

Okay, so these things may not be big ones, but hell they made me proud :D

Chris, do think over the decision of quitting college...its a big step (as you know). I nearly quit my degree as I didn't see the point of it at the time, however I'm glad I continued to the end.

Landing a few blue chip/big name clients has been exciting each time that happens.

But my most recent excitement has been getting coverage in The Sun - http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2005300000-2006330364,00.html

Now I need to land a huge huge huge client for my next excitement :) I'd love to do work for one of the large fashion chains like Oasis or something.

The most exciting moment of my life happened the on the 23rd of June this year at around 08:25 in the morning when I heard my daughter's first cry...

Business wise... come on, is just business, nothing exciting there.

Congrats. That's something to be proud of. I don't think I have any one proudest moment. If I have I can't remember it.

Ive set up and ran several business in my time on this earth but i think my proudest moment yet was the day I looked at my work diary and saw 7 months of work booked in after only 4 months of trading!!!

That day was just 1 month ago and after being told 'Matt your going to struggle to get work in becuase your too specialised' by a few people its a massive boost to both my ego and my future plans.

Im now looking to expand and go after more work on a larger catchment area!

Yay for me LOL!!!

Walking into MY office every morning,

I started my business with only a few hundred pounds and was turning over 5k+ after the first week, 6 months later I had tripled that turnover.

Proudest moments :

Realising ( Dec 2005 ) it was all coming together after 6 hard start up months.

Looking at our schedule for the next 6 months and seeing the work we have booked in already and knowing that we have not just survived the first year but come through it sprinting !

Being granted funding from the Prince's Trust.

This meant a lot because I was forced out of work due to ill health, and instead of accepting my disability I decided that self-employment was the future.

It was a great boost to have a third party see potential in my idea.
