Investors and Business Angels

In order to help your business grow, you might want to bring in outside investment in return for a stake in your business and a share of your profits. An investor can do more than just provide money. They can help you plan or run your business, provide valuable business contacts and act as a personal mentor too.

BBC's Dragons' Den TV show has done a great job in recent years in highlighting how new businesses can approach already successful entrepreneurs for finance and support for their business. There is even an online version of the show in which you can upload your elevator pitch video.

However, Dragons' Den isn't the only way to attract investment. There may be someone in your circle of friends or family who would like to invest, another business in your local community, or you might like to tap into one of the Business Angels services available in the UK.
