Business: The Cornish Seaweed Company
Location: Cornwall
The Cornish Seaweed Company grows, sustainably harvests, processes, and sells eight specific species of local Cornish seaweeds as a raw super food, as well as a 150g seaweed salt alternative. They offer five different raw seaweed combinations of 50g bags which can be consumed raw or used in cooking, for which they offer numerous recipes. The business will also be importing organic seaweed cosmetics from Ireland for distribution, and growing one species of seaweed to be used in the production of natural suncream. Seaweed is a local, sustainable and abundant natural resource, currently unexploited, with a market ready to be embraced by The Cornish Seaweed Company.
