Mocean designs, develops and manufactures innovative, hi-tech, and rugged gear for the travelling surfer. This range includes: surfboard covers, surfboards leashes, tail pads, and apparel board covers.
After two years of continuous prototyping and testing the business has successfully developed an air cell structure (patent pending) which it believes offers the ultimate in impact protection. These air cell sections, which can be inflated and deflated via a standard (shrader) valve, offer the maximum ratio of impact protection per depth of cell.
This allows them to be subtly incorporated into the products without affecting the overall shape, making them compact without compromising protection. The inflatable air cell sections were designed from sonic welded TPU as it is more durable and environmentally friendly than PVC.

The business is using a new type of foam called C3 EXPS which uses closed cell technology – there is no trapped air inside the foam core of the surfboard (the blank). This gives the blank uniform density, makes it much stronger, lighter and, in addition to this, the core will not absorb any water if it gets damaged.
