Winning the Award meant so much to me, not only did it provide me with vital funding but it gave me a real confidence boost. I have found a workshop, designed my website and taken a very large order. The publicity that was generated meant people heard about my work, my current commission found me through an article about the win. Winning the Award has made a massive difference to my future, I don't know whether I could have set up without it! I'd highly recommend it to everyone.
I use the Shell LiveWIRE website for case studies for my classes all the time, the videos are great and the length of the materials online is usually perfect. I always encourage my students to apply for awards as it really raises their profile and any endorsements are very useful.
