Safety Net is a redesigned trawl net offering an affordable way to improve the sustainability and lower the environmental impact of demersal (bottom) trawler fishing.

The net is raised off the seabed, lowering wear and tear to the net itself and dramatically reducing fuel consumption. The Safety Net catches target fish only. This means that the industry becomes sustainable and will persist in the future. In addition, the system causes far less damage to the seabed due to being raised off it. This reduces the pressure on fishermen from environmental groups.
